Germany Job-Search Plan
A three-week private engagement that turns your relocation idea into a role target, German-market applications, an employer list, and a manageable search rhythm.
Who this is for
This engagement is for professionals who intend to relocate to Germany and want to begin a disciplined search before moving. It suits people with several years of work experience who can name a broad field—such as logistics, finance, manufacturing, communications, or life sciences—but need to narrow the level, location, and employer context.
It does not include visa representation, legal advice, job placement, German lessons, or a promise of employment. Where a question needs an immigration lawyer or recognition authority, we will say so clearly.
What we work through
Session one: direction, 75 minutes. We examine your experience, language level, likely target cities, salary expectations, notice period, and relocation timing. Together we write a concise positioning statement and agree on two or three realistic role families.
Between sessions: you receive an employer-research worksheet and build an initial list. We review one English CV before the next call, checking evidence, chronology, job-title translation, page length, and details German recruiters commonly expect.
Session two: applications, 75 minutes. We edit the strongest CV sections together, map experience to a suitable vacancy, and outline a tailored cover letter. We also discuss references, certificates, the role of a photograph as an optional choice, and when an application in German may be necessary.
Session three: interview and action plan, 45 minutes. You practise your introduction and relocation explanation against an actual target role. We close with a six-week application schedule, follow-up dates, and questions to investigate before departure.
Your preparation
Send your current CV, two representative vacancies, preferred German regions, and intended moving window at least three working days before the first session. Redact identification numbers, home addresses, and any confidential employer information.

Your sessions are led by Mara Klein, a Berlin-based career adviser with experience supporting international hires and returners across German employers. Advice reflects the vacancies and materials available during the engagement; labour-market conditions and employer decisions can change.
